Apple is set to enhance the appeal of the iPhone Air 2 through two significant strategies. The first involves the addition of a second rear camera, addressing a major limitation of the current model, which features a single 48-megapixel Fusion rear camera with a 2× optical-quality zoom. The new camera is expected to be an Ultra Wide lens. Secondly, Apple is contemplating a price reduction for the iPhone Air 2. Despite its sleek, ultra-thin design, the current model’s starting price of $999 in the U.S., combined with its limited features, has not resonated well with consumers compared to the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro. Consequently, production has been scaled back. The iPhone Air 2 is anticipated to launch in spring 2027.
