iOS 27 brings notable improvements to FaceTime, with the introduction of a dual camera feature on select newer iPhone models. This Dual Capture feature, available on the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, enables users to simultaneously record themselves and their surroundings during video calls. By tapping the camera flip button, users can activate Dual Capture mode, displaying both front and rear camera views. This feature is compatible with devices running iOS 27, allowing users with older iPhones to view the dual camera feed. Additionally, iOS 27 enhances FaceTime quality on poor connections and introduces Live Captions in Traditional Chinese. Currently in developer beta, iOS 27 is set for a public beta release in July and a wide release in September.
