Apple is undertaking a three-year initiative to transform the iPhone’s design and functionality. The plan includes the release of redesigned iPhone 17 Pro models and the introduction of the ultra-thin iPhone Air in 2025. In 2026, Apple is set to unveil its first foldable iPhone, featuring a book-like opening mechanism similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, with exclusive iOS 27 updates for enhanced multitasking. The foldable device is expected to have a 7.7-inch inner display and a 5.3-inch outer display, with technology aimed at minimizing screen creases. The device will feature two rear cameras, a front camera, and a Touch ID power button.
By 2027, Apple plans to celebrate the iPhone’s 20th anniversary with a model boasting a seamless design, potentially featuring a curved glass enclosure and under-screen front camera, eliminating display cutouts. Apple aims to maintain its strong sales momentum, which peaked in late 2025, with these innovative models.
