How is LeadStory transforming AI video search with new funding?

LeadStory, an innovative personalized news streaming platform, has secured $2.75 million in Seed funding and launched a groundbreaking AI video search feature. The funding round was led by Checker Media, founded by former VICE Media Global President Jesse Angelo, and included contributions from American Public Media Group’s Horizon Fund and CP Ventures. This investment will support the expansion of LeadStory’s AI capabilities and its global audience of 10 million users.

The company addresses the challenge of AI hallucinations in news delivery by providing accurate answers through licensed video from reputable news sources. This approach ensures that users receive fact-checked and reliable information, eliminating the risk of misinformation. LeadStory’s AI-driven search is set to revolutionize how video content is accessed, marking the beginning of a new era in user-led, voice-activated AI search.

With partnerships with major media outlets like CBS, CNBC, Reuters, and Euronews, LeadStory is strengthening its position as a leading AI-powered news platform. The company is experiencing significant growth, with its popular FAST channels available on Samsung TV Plus in multiple markets and VIZIO in North America. Additionally, LeadStory has entered the automotive sector by providing in-car video news experiences for Mercedes-Benz.

Founded in 2021 by former Sky News journalist Cam Price and ex-UpGuard software engineer Cheyne Wallace, LeadStory aims to deliver personalized, trustworthy news tailored to individual preferences.
