How is Piq Energy addressing North America’s grid challenges with its new funding?

Piq Energy has successfully raised $5 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round to enhance its agentic grid planning platform, which aims to alleviate North America’s grid bottleneck. As demand for electricity surges due to AI, electrification, and industrial growth, Piq Energy provides a solution by automating complex engineering workflows, enabling faster project connections to the grid. The funding round was led by Active Impact Investments and included several other prominent investors. With more than 2,300 GW of projects awaiting interconnection in the U.S., Piq’s platform integrates with existing engineering tools to streamline the process and support rapid adoption of grid-enhancing technologies. Since its launch in 2025, Piq has managed over 1,000 grid models and facilitated thousands of engineering workflows, establishing itself as a key player in grid planning.
