The Punjab School Education Board is taking significant steps to modernise education by integrating artificial intelligence and robotics into the school curriculum starting this academic session. This initiative follows a national AI conference hosted by the board, which included practical workshops led by tech giants Google and Intel, emphasizing the responsible adoption of AI in educational settings. PSEB Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh highlighted the importance of familiarizing educators, policymakers, and students with AI, noting its pervasive presence in everyday applications like banking and mobile apps. He cautioned that understanding and guidelines are crucial to prevent the misuse of AI, which could lead to serious risks.
