How much funding did startups secure this week?

This week, startups in India secured approximately $95 million in funding, with 17 companies receiving investments at various stages. Five of these were growth-stage deals, while 10 were early-stage, and two startups chose not to disclose their funding details. Bengaluru led with six deals, followed by Delhi-NCR with four. Other cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad also saw activity. The fintech sector was the most funded with four deals, followed by deeptech and SaaS with two deals each. Seed funding rounds were predominant, with seven deals. Notable transactions included Smartworks, a proptech firm, raising $20 million in a pre-IPO round, and education-focused NBFC Varthana securing approximately $18.5 million through debt financing. In the early-stage category, InPrime Finserv led with $6 million raised in a Series A round. Strategic developments included Incuspaze acquiring VSKOUT and Infinity Fincorp Solution entering a significant agreement with Partners Group.
