How will FSS enhance ETF comparison for investors?

The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) plans to enhance its financial product comparison system to include returns and fee rates for exchange-traded funds (ETFs), aiming to provide investors with accurate information for informed decision-making. Currently, the FSS collaborates with seven financial industry associations to offer comparison tools like Financial Products at a Glance and the Integrated Pension Portal, which provide key data on interest rates, transaction terms, and pension product returns. However, ETFs, despite being investable through pension savings accounts, have not been included in these comparisons. The new initiative will rectify this by incorporating ETF data into the Integrated Pension Portal. Additionally, the National Credit Union Federation of Korea will refine its sales region search capabilities, and the General Insurance Association of Korea will enhance its platform to facilitate easier insurance product comparisons for older adults.
