Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series has historically relied on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, but a shift began with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which featured Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 processor. With the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8, Samsung is poised to change its strategy again by offering different chipsets based on regional markets. The new foldable phone will be equipped with either the Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, tailored to specific regions. South Korea and select European countries are expected to receive the Exynos version, while other regions, including Japan, will have the Qualcomm variant. This strategic move highlights Samsung’s approach to catering to diverse market needs with its latest technological advancements.
