iPhone 18 Pro RAM: Both Pro Models Feature 12GB

Xcode 27 indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max each include 12GB of RAM, even though Apple does not advertise RAM amounts for the new models.

Xcode does not yet list the iPhone Duo, but that device uses the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro models and therefore should also have 12GB of RAM.

iPhone 18 Pro RAM and comparisons

The iPhone 17 Pro models already use 12GB of RAM, so the new Pro models show no increase versus the previous generation. Reported RAM amounts across recent iPhone models are:

iPhone 18 Pro: 12GB

iPhone 18 Pro Max: 12GB

iPhone Duo: expected 12GB (not yet listed in Xcode 27)

iPhone 17: 8GB

iPhone Air: 12GB

iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB

iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB

Apple is still being impacted by an industrywide RAM chip shortage, which has led the company to raise prices on many products in recent months. In the U.S., the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max start at $1,199 and $1,299, respectively — a $100 increase to the starting price compared with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple said the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available to pre-order starting Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time in the U.S. and many other countries. The devices are set to launch the following week, on Friday, September 18.
