Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo open on October 16 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time (8 a.m. Eastern), with the device scheduled to launch on October 23. Apple customers can begin preparing orders earlier: the company’s Get Ready process becomes available on Monday, October 12.
How Get Ready improves your iPhone Duo pre-order
Get Ready, available on Apple’s online store and in the Apple Store app, lets prospective buyers select a preferred color and capacity ahead of the pre-order window. The process also allows users to confirm carrier status, choose accessories, pick an AppleCare+ plan, select a trade-in, add a payment method, and set shipping and billing addresses.
When pre-orders go live, completing Get Ready effectively enables a one-tap order, which can speed up submission. That speed matters because initial iPhone Duo supplies are expected to be limited and there are reports of production issues that could constrain availability; pre-orders could sell out within minutes.
Visit Apple’s website or the Apple Store app on Monday, October 12, to complete the Get Ready process if you plan to purchase an iPhone Duo.
