At the Pharma Meets AI conference held in Barcelona in April 2026, discussions focused on the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in delivering tangible value within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in commercial and field medical functions. Despite the widespread adoption of AI, achieving measurable business outcomes remains challenging.
Sam Rolfe, sales director EMEA at Exeevo, stressed the importance of moving beyond experimental AI projects to those that demonstrate clear, quantifiable impacts. He identified fragmented data environments and misalignment between people, processes, and technology as major obstacles hindering the effectiveness of AI-driven insights.
Exeevo’s “Ask-Nova” solution was showcased as an example of integrating AI into daily workflows to aid field teams. By assisting with tasks like meeting preparation, note-taking, and CRM data entry, the platform helps representatives minimize administrative tasks and focus on more valuable interactions with healthcare professionals.
Rolfe highlighted that AI-driven workflow tools can lead to measurable improvements, such as a 30-40% reduction in time spent on administrative tasks and a return on investment within six months. These improvements not only enhance operational efficiency but also improve data quality and strengthen engagement outcomes.
