Samsung has taken the lead by announcing its One UI 9 beta program, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy S26 series. This program is set to roll out in select markets, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S., starting this week. Galaxy S26 users can enroll in the beta through the Samsung Members app. The new firmware update introduces several enhancements. Samsung Contacts now integrates the Creative Studio AI art tool for designing custom profile cards. The Quick Panel has been revamped with separate controls for screen brightness, sound, and media player. Accessibility features see improvements with a unified TalkBack voice guidance package and Text Spotlight functionality in floating windows. Additionally, Samsung Notes offers new pen line styles and decorative tapes for enhanced personalization. A new security feature will automatically identify and block high-risk app activity, preventing the execution and installation of potentially harmful files while suggesting protective measures.
