On the show floor, conversations often moved well past product demos. Attendees were actively exploring cooperation models, supply-chain linkages and routes to overseas expansion. Paolo Brizzi, CIO of the Competence Center for Industry and Manufacturing (CIM) in Italy, described meeting a Chinese AI company to discuss collaboration spanning industrial use cases to a potential presence in the European market. “My goal is not just to be a customer or a supplier of technologies, but to identify where we can truly collaborate and work together,” he said (translation).
Startups and networking: from prototype to connection
The conference offered a prominent stage for startups seeking investors, researchers and prospective customers. One startup launched an online networking group on day one that quickly attracted hundreds of participants, fostering idea exchange, business leads and technical problem‑solving. Such initiatives illustrate the World AI Conference’s role as a place where innovation meets partners and concrete market opportunities.
Cross‑sector and cross‑border cooperation as a driver of progress
Speakers emphasized that AI progress depends as much on cross‑industry and international collaboration as on technical breakthroughs. “Collaboration is important because alone we can’t do much. You need a supporting ecosystem and a team,” said Florian Wohlrab, CEO of the OpenHW Foundation, based in Canada (translation). For delegates from developing countries, the event also highlighted practical AI applications: a Kenyan visitor explained how weather forecasting and soil analysis could boost agricultural productivity, showing how technical solutions can address local economic needs.
For some attendees, international cooperation is essential to ensure AI’s benefits are shared globally. “We are all human and I think we can cooperate a lot,” said Omar Khan, who came from Pakistan (translation).
Taken together, participants said the World AI Conference functioned as a platform where ideas, technologies and demand converge to transform innovation into actionable international cooperation — moving past rhetoric and prototypes toward real deployments and cross‑border value creation.
