However, Apple has reassured users that these older models will still function with iOS 27, set for release this fall. While these watches won’t receive new features like Siri AI or the new tap gesture, they will continue to track workouts, deliver notifications, and pair with iPhones running iOS 27. Meanwhile, newer models, including the Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, and Apple Watch SE 3, will receive the watchOS 27 update and its new features.
