Now Brief in One UI 9.0 adds support for bill payment reminders and direct in-notification payments via Samsung Wallet. Devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which ship with One UI 9.0 out of the box, include an upgraded Now Brief equipped with Pay Now for the Indian market.
Now Brief’s Pay Now feature
Pay Now automatically tracks incoming bills, identifies due dates, and sends timely alerts. Beyond sending reminders, Now Brief streamlines payments through deep Samsung Wallet integration: once credit or debit cards or a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) account are linked to the Samsung Wallet app, bills can be settled directly from the notification card.
Samsung engineers at R&D centres in Bengaluru and Noida developed this feature specifically to address the needs of Indian consumers. Now Brief was first introduced with the Galaxy S25 and One UI 7.0 and received mixed feedback, and Samsung substantially improved it with the Galaxy S26 and One UI 8.5 before adding the bill payment capabilities in One UI 9.0.
