One UI 9 Beta 5 arrives next week for Galaxy S26 series

Samsung has confirmed that One UI 9 Beta 5 will roll out to the Galaxy S26 series next week. The company did not share an exact date; it typically releases beta builds on Mondays or Tuesdays, which could mean users receive the update by August 11.

The confirmation came through the Samsung Members community, where a beta program moderator said the fifth One UI 9 Beta build for the Galaxy S26 trio is now in the final stages of development. They added that the update will roll out to registered Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra units next week and will bring additional bug fixes and stability enhancements ahead of the final release.

“To provide a more stable and comprehensive service, the entire development team is currently fully committed to final reviews and quality improvements,” the moderator said. They added the update will “reward you with better usability.” (machine-translated from Korean)

One UI 9: what to expect from Beta 5

The Samsung representative did not mention any new features, so it is unclear whether Beta 5 will include tools such as My FanCam. My FanCam is one of the standout new additions in One UI 9; these features debuted with Samsung’s new foldables last month. Galaxy S and Galaxy Z flagships from the past two years are likely to receive most of those tools.

Samsung may also launch One UI 9 beta programs for the Galaxy S25, Fold 7, and Flip 7 next week. If My FanCam and similar features do not arrive in Beta 5, they may be held for the stable release later this month or in September.

Stay tuned.
