Security Alert: Intelligence Warns of Coordinated Attacks Near Jos

Credible intelligence sources have issued a red alert after armed groups met outside Jos, warning that coordinated night-time assaults on villages in Du and Zawan Districts could begin as early as Monday night, Sept. 14. Communities in the area have been placed on high alert and residents are urged to take precautionary measures.

Jos-area communities warned

Heipang, Farin Lamba, Kuru Station, Wereng‑Camp, Wereng, K‑Vom, Dahwak and Bisichi are among the communities identified as at risk and have been advised to close shops, avoid crowded areas and maintain strict vigilance. Residents were specifically told to shut down grocery stores and other public gathering places where possible.

Security operatives and civilian watch groups in the affected districts have been notified and urged to heighten surveillance. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as they track reports of the meeting of armed groups outside Jos.
