SignSplit raises $400M strategic seed from W Group, valued at $1B

SignSplitPBC has emerged from stealth with a $400 million strategic seed funding commitment from W Group, a deal that the company says values SignSplit at $1 billion and pairs capital with multi‑year strategic resources to support global expansion.

The company says the next generation of AI will rely increasingly on real‑world human data, knowledge, creativity and experience across advanced models, robotics, science, healthcare, media and entertainment. SignSplit enables individuals and institutions to protect, authorize and contribute their data, creative works and likenesses under consent, clear provenance and established terms — a model the company calls “signed data.”

SignSplit’s model and verification layer

According to SignSplit, AI and robotics companies, researchers and other organisations can access curated data and research pools built around specific needs. Contributors provide real‑world data, knowledge and skills and are compensated for their participation. The platform also includes a verification layer for data, deliverables and likenesses intended to help AI systems, social media platforms and other digital services identify signed content and obtain information about its origins, consent and terms.

Alessandro Monterosso, Co‑founder and CEO of SignSplit, said: “SignSplit provides a solution for a world where the boundary between human experience and technology is becoming increasingly blurred. As AI becomes more deeply integrated into the real world, human knowledge, creativity, skills, and identity will become increasingly tied to how technology evolves and interacts with its surroundings. We believe that SignSplit, along with the use of signature data, can serve as a bridge between the two, linking human contribution, protection, participation, and compensation with technological advancement.”

Volodymyr Nosov, Founder and President of W Group, said: “SignSplit sets a new standard for the use of personal and institutional data, work outputs, and likenesses. We believe that anyone seriously engaged in the AI and data economy will ultimately rely on SignSplit’s infrastructure. The scale of our commitment reflects both our view that this field is still in its early stages and our conviction that these solutions are critical for every industry dependent on human data.”

SignSplit was founded in 2024 by Glib Denisov, who also serves as co‑founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Product Officer. Denisov said: “When we founded SignSplit in 2024, we were building for where we believed AI was headed, not where it was at the time. We saw that the next generation of AI would need more than just more data—it would need higher‑quality, real‑world data with clear provenance, licensing, and rights.”
