The UNU Macau AI Conference 2026 will be held on 25–26 November 2026 at MGM MACAU in partnership with MGM, with support from the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).
The partnership combines UNU Macau’s global network in artificial intelligence, digital governance and sustainable development with MGM’s conference facilities and hospitality expertise, providing an international venue for dialogue, collaboration and knowledge exchange in Macau.
UNU Macau AI Conference focus: AI × Education
Held under the theme “AI × Education: AI for Learning, Learning for AI,” the two-day conference will bring together policymakers, educators, researchers, technology experts and youth innovators from around the world to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping education and how education systems can prepare societies for the age of AI.
The programme includes an opening ceremony, keynote addresses and a series of parallel discussions exploring topics such as AI governance, education policy, digital inclusion, AI literacy, ethics and the future of learning. Across sixteen thematic sessions, participants from academia, government, international organizations and industry will share perspectives on opportunities and challenges arising from the rapid development of AI.
On the second day, the programme continues with the AI for SDGs – Global Youth AI Future Innovation Competition 2026 and a series of AI × Education workshops and training sessions, translating conference discussions into practical learning experiences for educators, students, policymakers and practitioners.
The partnership aims to provide a collaborative environment that supports international dialogue, interdisciplinary exchange and capacity development on AI and education, and reflects the partners’ shared commitment to strengthening Macau’s role as a convening platform for global cooperation, innovation and sustainable development.
