Samsung has unveiled the new One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, just after releasing the stable One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy devices. This latest software version introduces enhanced customization options, improved stock apps, and bolstered privacy and security measures. Users can now enjoy a more customizable Quick Panel with independent control over display brightness, volume, and media player sections. The Samsung Notes app sees upgrades with decorative tapes and new pen line styles, catering to those using it for notes, creative tasks, or journaling. The Creative Studio app is now seamlessly integrated into the Contacts app, allowing for easy creation of personalized profile cards. Security features have been strengthened to warn users about high-risk apps, blocking their installation or execution. Accessibility improvements include adjustable Mouse Key speed for better cursor control and a unified TalkBack feature from Google and Samsung. Additionally, the Text Spotlight feature can display selected text in a larger or floating window for easier reading.
