What Are the Rumored Features of iOS 27?

Just months after the release of iOS 26, speculation about iOS 27 is already surfacing. Expected to debut at Apple’s June 2026 WWDC event and launch in September 2026, iOS 27 promises to focus on bug fixes and performance enhancements, reminiscent of the “Snow Leopard” update for macOS. Apple engineers are reportedly addressing issues in iOS 26 to enhance the upcoming version.

In 2026, Apple aims to introduce the iPhone Fold, its first foldable device, featuring a ~5.4-inch display when folded and a ~7.7-inch screen when opened. This shift will necessitate iOS updates to accommodate the new display formats. Potential changes could include iPad-like interfaces, sidebars, and multitasking capabilities.

iOS 27 is also expected to refine the Liquid Glass design introduced in iOS 26, incorporating user feedback for further enhancements. Meanwhile, Apple Intelligence, including a smarter Siri, is set to expand, with new features potentially arriving in iOS 27. Siri might undergo a visual redesign, possibly introducing a more animated version akin to the Mac Finder logo.

Additionally, Apple is developing a Health+ subscription service offering nutrition and medical guidance, which might debut with iOS 27. Satellite technology improvements are also on the horizon, with possible features like Apple Maps via satellite and satellite connectivity enhancements. These updates are anticipated to be unveiled in June at WWDC, preceding the release of new iPhone models in September.
