The Galaxy S26 Ultra has introduced a groundbreaking feature: the world’s first built-in Privacy Display on a mobile device. This innovation eliminates the need for third-party privacy screen protectors by integrating the capability directly into the phone, ensuring that screen content remains less visible to those nearby. When activated, the Privacy Display makes the screen difficult to read from side angles, enhancing privacy. Users can tailor this feature with three main options: Maximum Privacy Protection, automatic activation, and notification-only privacy.
To enable Privacy Display, users can navigate to the phone’s display settings or use the Quick Panel for easy access. Maximum Privacy Protection mode further intensifies this effect, making the display readable only when viewed head-on, ideal for safeguarding sensitive information in crowded spaces.
Moreover, the Galaxy S26 Ultra offers customizable conditions for automatic activation of the Privacy Display. This feature can be set to activate when specific apps are opened or during the entry of authentication details like PINs or passwords, ensuring privacy at crucial moments.
Additionally, the device includes an option to apply Privacy Display solely to notification pop-ups, allowing the rest of the screen to remain unchanged. This provides extra privacy for notifications, preventing others from reading incoming messages or alerts from side angles.
