What can we expect from the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra?

As 2026 approaches, Samsung is gearing up to unveil its latest flagship phones, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra. Although the release is expected to be slightly delayed compared to the Galaxy S25, much about the new lineup is already known. Samsung has decided to discontinue the Galaxy S26 Edge and retain the Galaxy S26 Plus. Leaked CAD models and dummy units have revealed the design, with the base model’s thickness still a topic of discussion among insiders.

Recently, detailed images of the Galaxy S26 models have surfaced, showcasing the compact design of the base model and the sleek appearance of the S26 Ultra in silver and dark black. Notably, the design features a more rounded look, extending to the integrated S-Pen with its newly rounded cap.

The rear camera design marks a shift from the Galaxy S25 series, with larger cameras housed in a single bump instead of separate lenses, resembling the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. These dummy units, likely nonfunctional, are often used by accessory makers and leakers. Additionally, there are rumors of significant upgrades to the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera capabilities.
