Samsung is set to continue its tradition of launching a new Galaxy S+ series phone every year, with the Galaxy S27+ poised to be the eleventh in the lineup. Positioned between the standard Galaxy S27 and the premium Galaxy S27 Pro, the S27+ promises a blend of advanced features and cutting-edge technology.
The device will sport a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution, capable of dynamically adjusting its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz thanks to its LTPO OLED technology. This display will also support HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG formats. The phone’s design includes an Armor Aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on both the front and back, and it boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Biometric security is handled by an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and audio is enhanced with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support.
Camera capabilities are impressive, with a 12MP front camera and a triple rear camera setup, each with a 50MP sensor covering primary, ultrawide, and telephoto functions. Both the primary and telephoto cameras feature OIS and autofocus, with video recording options up to 8K 30fps HDR.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S27+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy in China and North America, and the Exynos 2700 elsewhere. It will offer 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. Connectivity features include GNSS, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. The phone supports Quick Share, Samsung Pay, and Wireless DeX.
A 4,900mAh battery will support 45W fast wired charging and up to 20W wireless charging via the Qi2.2 standard. The device will run on Android 17-based One UI 9.0 and will receive updates for seven years. AI features are enhanced with Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity, alongside a suite of new AI tools.
Expected to launch in January or February 2027, the Galaxy S27+ will be available for pre-order on launch day, with retail availability following shortly in select markets.
