Samsung is set to unveil two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will succeed the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the much-anticipated wider model. Reports indicate that samples are already in circulation in South Korea ahead of next month’s launch, and early feedback offers intriguing insights.
Despite concerns about the potential weight of the wider Galaxy Z Fold 8, initial observations from Korean sources suggest it is surprisingly lightweight, a significant advantage for Samsung’s first model in this design. Additionally, the foldable display’s crease appears to be significantly reduced, offering a tactile experience closer to that of a traditional non-foldable screen.
