Samsung has repeatedly indicated its intention to launch smart glasses soon, and this ambition was reaffirmed during its first-quarter 2026 earnings call. The company announced plans to introduce AI glasses, aiming to deliver immersive multimodal AI experiences through various form factors. Following the successful release of the first Android XR-based headset last year, Samsung is poised to expand its wearable technology offerings with these new AI glasses.
The anticipated Galaxy Glasses are rumored to operate on Google’s Android XR system, equipped with speakers, microphones, and a 12MP camera. These glasses, capable of handling tasks like answering questions, capturing media, and sharing content, are set to rival Meta’s AI glasses in the market.
Additionally, Samsung is reportedly developing new true wireless earbuds named Galaxy Buds Able. These earbuds are expected to feature a clip-on design and integrate bone conduction technology, offering a fresh take on audio devices.
