What is Advantech’s new strategy for Edge and Physical AI?

Advantech has announced a strategic shift towards enhancing edge artificial intelligence and physical AI, revealing its plans at Computex 2026 in Taiwan. The company aims to broaden AI integration in industrial settings by linking AI agents, digital twins, and edge computing through its WISE-Edge Developer Architecture (WEDA) platform. During the Edge AI Conference, Advantech emphasized its transition from a hardware supplier to a platform company fostering industrial innovation. The event, featuring speakers from Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Intel, attracted over 3,000 global experts both in person and online. Advantech showcased various AI technologies and systems, including robotics platforms and intelligent systems, highlighting applications like autonomous robots and industrial drones. Korean partners Movensys and Nota AI also contributed, presenting innovations in software-defined control and road AI infrastructure, respectively.
