Samsung Galaxy phones have long featured wireless charging, but a notable enhancement came with the Galaxy S25 series, which introduced the Qi2 wireless charging standard. This new standard maintains a charging speed of 15W but adds support for Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) accessories, allowing for a more versatile charging experience. The latest Galaxy S26 Ultra takes it a step further, supporting 25W wireless charging with a compatible charger, a speed that was once the peak of wired charging for Samsung’s flagship devices. With the evolution of the Qi standard, Samsung is poised to offer even faster wireless charging speeds, potentially reaching 50W in the coming years.
