Apple is gearing up to launch its first foldable iPhone, dubbed the “iPhone Ultra,” later this year. The device is expected to be available in two color options, with a leaked image revealing a white finish. The foldable iPhone has reportedly entered early mass production, though the model shown is likely a prototype. White is currently the only confirmed color for the device, while the second option might be an indigo similar to the iPhone 17 Pro’s Deep Blue. Apple plans to avoid vibrant colors, opting instead for traditional finishes like space gray, black, silver, and white, reminiscent of the iPhone X’s launch in 2017. The limited color selection may be due to anticipated low production volumes, as manufacturing challenges are expected to constrain supply until at least 2026. With a launch price above $2,000, Apple has little reason to expand the initial color lineup, as buyers at this price point may prioritize features over color choices. The iPhone Ultra is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September.
