The Central University of Kashmir recently hosted the International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence at its Tulmulla Campus, marking a significant collaboration with the University of South Dakota, AI Research Lab, and other academic partners. The event was inaugurated by Satish Sharma, Minister for Science & Technology, IT, Youth Services & Sports, and presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath. The conference attracted senior academic leaders and dignitaries from various institutions, emphasizing the importance of aligning AI with human values for public welfare in sectors like healthcare, education, and governance. Prof. Ravinder Nath highlighted AI’s transformative impact and the university’s efforts in fostering research and innovation. Contributions from the Central University of Karnataka and AICTE stressed responsible AI usage and indigenous innovation. The conference showcased strong academic engagement with 447 research papers submitted from over 20 countries, maintaining a rigorous selection process. The event underscored the university’s expanding global partnerships and commitment to technological advancement.
