Apple is set to reveal watchOS 27 at its WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8. The developer beta will be available immediately after the event, with a public beta following in July, and a full release expected in September for compatible Apple Watch models.
Among the anticipated features is enhanced heart rate tracking. Additionally, a new modular watch face, similar to the “Modular Ultra” exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra, will be introduced.
Apple is also expected to expand its Apple Intelligence features, currently available with an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, to include new advancements powered by AI.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3’s satellite capabilities will be bolstered with features like Apple Maps and Photos support for Messages via satellite. This follows Amazon’s recent acquisition of Globalstar, the company behind Apple’s satellite services.
Overall, watchOS 27 will focus on stability and performance improvements, with many bug fixes anticipated.
