What’s the Handy Change in iOS 26.1 for iPhones?

The forthcoming iOS 26.1 update introduces a subtle yet practical change for iPhone users. When an alarm rings in the Clock app, users will now see a “slide to stop” control on the screen, replacing the previous large “stop” button that was prone to accidental taps. This new slider is positioned beneath the unchanged orange “snooze” button. This adjustment, which is also applied to timers, follows Apple’s decision to enlarge the “stop” button in iOS 26. Currently in beta, iOS 26.1 is expected to be officially released later this month. And for those nostalgic moments, who remembers “slide to unlock”?
