Samsung has announced the update schedule for its One UI 8, based on Android 16, targeting Indian users after its global launch with the Galaxy S25 series. The rollout begins in September with the flagship Galaxy S25 models, including the S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra. October will see the update extend to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and several mid-range models such as the Galaxy A, M, and F series, along with various Galaxy Tabs. Some devices like the Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05 will receive the update in November.
In October, the update will cover the Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and a selection of A, M, and F series phones, including 5G variants. Galaxy Tabs like the S10 series and Tab A11 are also included.
One UI 8 introduces Google Gemini for a smarter AI experience, automating tasks based on user habits. Users will benefit from features like Generative Edits and Chat Assist, previously exclusive to the Galaxy S25. Enhancements to the Now Bar and Now Brief offer live notifications from more apps. The update also brings an improved split-screen mode for better multitasking, similar to OnePlus’s Open Canvas.
This update aims to unify Samsung’s devices under a cohesive, AI-enhanced interface, bringing advanced features to older models. Users should check the Samsung Members app for specific update timelines and instructions.
