Samsung is set to launch the stable rollout of One UI 8.5, starting on April 30, 2026, in South Korea for the Galaxy S25 series. The update is expected to reach international markets, including the US, by May 4. The Galaxy S25 series will be the first to receive this upgrade, following nine beta builds since December 2025. The Galaxy S26 series already comes with One UI 8.5 pre-installed.
One UI 8.5, built on Android 16, introduces features like Ambient Design, Perplexity-powered Bixby, Call Screening, Photo Assist, Creative Studio, and Audio Eraser, which reduces background noise in real-time on apps like YouTube and Instagram. Unlike previous point-five updates, One UI 8.5 will extend beyond flagship models, including Galaxy A, M, and F series devices, indicating a broader Android 16 rollout across Samsung’s range.
While Samsung has not officially announced the list of supported devices, based on testing and previous patterns, the update is expected for various Galaxy S, Z, Tab, A, M, F, and XCover series models. The rollout will commence with the Galaxy S25 series, followed by newer foldables, and continue through May and June for other models, concluding before the One UI 9 beta program begins for the Galaxy S26 series later in 2026.
