Will Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Korea ignite a stock surge?

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s upcoming visit to Korea has sparked significant interest in related stocks, as he plans to meet with LG Group and Naver. This visit, following his attendance at Nvidia’s AI conference in Taipei, marks his first return to Korea since the APEC summit in October last year. Anticipation is high for potential collaborations, particularly in the realm of physical AI, with LG Group’s stocks such as LG Electronics and LG CNS experiencing substantial gains. LG Electronics shares have surged by 107.95% and LG CNS by 75.08% this month, driven by expectations of cooperation with Nvidia. Other LG affiliates, including LG Display and LG Uplus, have also seen notable stock increases. Naver’s stock price has rebounded, closing at 234,000 won, up 14.15% amid speculation of AI collaboration with Nvidia. Similarly, Kakao’s stock price rose by 4.61%. The excitement surrounding physical AI has also boosted shares of digital transformation companies, with Hyundai AutoEver and Samsung SDS seeing significant gains. Companies focused on smart factory initiatives, such as Hyundai Motor and Samsung, are performing strongly, with Hyundai AutoEver’s share price increasing by 107.10% this month.
