As the launch of the Galaxy S26 approaches, details about its camera hardware and processor are still unconfirmed. However, recent information suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might please Snapdragon enthusiasts by featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This processor, a 3nm chip produced by TSMC, promises enhanced CPU and GPU performance, as well as improved cellular connectivity. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to incorporate UFS 4.1 storage and faster RAM for better overall performance. The phone is anticipated to boast a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with QHD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz. Camera features might include a 12MP front camera with autofocus, a 200MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and dual telephoto options with optical zoom capabilities. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are likely to be equipped with the Exynos 2600 chip, although some markets like Canada, China, and the USA might receive Snapdragon variants. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S26 series in late January 2026, with sales commencing in February.
