The upcoming iPhone 18 models, expected to launch in spring 2027, will reportedly feature 9GB of RAM, an increase from the previous 8GB. These models, including the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, are anticipated to debut in March or April 2027. They will be equipped with the new A20 chip, designed with 1.5GB x 6 dies to achieve the 9GB RAM configuration, a shift from the 2GB x 4 dies used in the current iPhone 17 models.
Meanwhile, Apple is set to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone this fall, all expected to boast 12GB of RAM, matching the current iPhone 17 Pro lineup. The additional RAM in the iPhone 18 series aims to enhance performance for AI tasks and support new features in iOS 27.
Following recent price increases for Macs and iPads, the iPhone 17 pricing remains unchanged. However, with the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple is likely to adjust prices, potentially affecting even the lower-end iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e models.
