The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to enhance RAM speeds by incorporating the LPDDR5X modules, which are known for their high transfer rates of approximately 10.7Gbps. This marks an upgrade from the Galaxy S25 series, which utilized the same memory standard but was limited to 8.5Gbps on its 12GB variants.
The entire S26 lineup is anticipated to feature at least 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as Samsung has phased out the 8GB variants. While there are speculations about the potential use of Samsung’s own 16GB LPDDR6 memory, known for its increased efficiency and more I/O channels, it is unlikely to debut with the S26 series. The LPDDR6 memory is expected to be showcased later in 2026.
For now, the S26 Ultra 16GB model remains a possibility for the future, but it is expected to be limited to select markets. Further confirmation from additional sources is awaited as the launch date approaches.
