Will Galaxy Store require Samsung account sign-in from April 30?

Samsung smartphones come with the Galaxy Store pre-installed, providing access to Samsung’s own apps, third-party applications, and updates, including some apps not found on the Google Play Store, like Good Lock. Traditionally, users could download apps and updates without signing in to a Samsung account. However, this will change on April 30, 2026, when Samsung will mandate a Samsung account sign-in for using the Galaxy Store. This means that without signing in, users will not be able to download apps or install updates.
