iOS 27 is set to be unveiled on June 8 at WWDC, and speculation is rife that the software update may not support four existing iPhone models. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the second-generation iPhone SE could be left out, as a recent leak suggests iOS 27 will require an iPhone 12 or later. This would mark the second consecutive year that Apple has excluded several iPhone models from its major iOS update, following last year’s omission of the iPhone XS generation. Although Apple will continue to provide updates for iOS 26, these will be limited to bug fixes and security improvements. Notably, many of iOS 27’s key features are expected to leverage Apple Intelligence, which will only be fully accessible on the iPhone 15 Pro or later models.
