Apple has released the second beta of watchOS 27 to developers, following the initial beta two weeks ago. Developers can download the beta via the Watch app on iPhone, provided they have a free developer account. Installation requires the Apple Watch to be on its charger, connected to Wi-Fi, and have at least a 50% battery charge. The update is compatible with all Apple Watch models supporting watchOS 27, except the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
watchOS 27 introduces Siri AI, an enhanced version of Siri capable of engaging in conversations and utilizing general world knowledge and personal data for queries. Siri AI requires an iPhone supporting Apple Intelligence, such as the iPhone 15 Pro or later models.
The update also features a Dynamic app grid with Siri-suggested apps and improved Smart Stack Suggestions. Users can locate their parked cars, access pinned messages, receive noise alerts, and view identity and transit cards. Liquid Glass has been refined for better readability, and the Workout Buddy function operates independently of an iPhone, offering new metrics like progressive increases in distance, pace, or duration. Additionally, a new all-in-one Find My app supports Precision Finding, and performance optimizations enhance battery life.
