Samsung is gearing up to unveil its latest Galaxy smartphones at an event on July 22, where a new foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, is expected to be introduced. This model features passport-style dimensions, drawing comparisons to Apple’s anticipated foldable iPhone. Samsung has been developing this new form factor to compete with Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra, and hints of the upcoming device have been shared, including a teaser video that suggests a new shape is on the horizon. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to mirror the design of Apple’s foldable, which is rumored to include a 7.8-inch inner display, a 5.5-inch outer display, dual rear cameras, a front camera, and a Touch ID power button. Apple is likely to reveal its foldable device in September, alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro models. Additionally, Samsung is anticipated to present updated versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 7, as well as new Galaxy Watches. The Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in London, U.K., beginning at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 22.
