Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is reportedly on schedule for a September release, despite earlier speculations of potential delays. The device’s design has been finalized, and mass production is underway. Foxconn, Apple’s assembly partner, is ramping up hiring to meet production demands. Concerns about the launch being postponed due to complex assembly and low yields have been dispelled, with sources confirming a September delivery window. While previous reports hinted at hinge issues during testing, these have largely been resolved, although initial shipments might be limited. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo anticipates the foldable iPhone will be revealed alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models but might not be available for purchase until the fourth quarter. Despite earlier predictions, the foldable iPhone is expected to debut in September, with sales potentially starting shortly thereafter. Apple has increased its production target to approximately 10 million units for this year. The foldable device, possibly named “iPhone Ultra,” is expected to feature a 7.8-inch inner display, a 5.5-inch cover screen, an A20 chip, and a Touch ID power button, with prices ranging from $2,000 to $2,500.
