Samsung may revise memory options for its next non-foldable flagship, the Galaxy S27 series, by offering the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ with 8GB of RAM alongside previously reported 12GB variants, according to tipster @kro_roe.
The potential change follows an ongoing shortage of memory and storage components and skyrocketing memory chip prices. The company may charge more for 12GB models, which could increase the starting prices of both phones, while introducing 8GB RAM variants could help keep entry prices in check.
Galaxy S27 memory and storage variations
The tipster also says Samsung plans to use different UFS storage versions across the Galaxy S27 lineup to manage costs, so some models may offer faster storage speeds than others. A previous leak made a similar claim that Samsung could use different storage and memory modules with varying speeds across the lineup.
