Apple today seeded the release candidate of the upcoming iOS 27.2 update to developers for testing, and also supplied the iPadOS 27.2 RC.
Registered developers can download the beta updates by opting in under Settings > General > Software Update and selecting the iOS 27 developer beta. The release candidate arrives a week after Apple released the fourth iOS 27.2 beta.
iOS 27.2: what’s included
The iOS 27.2 beta was used to test the new iOS 27 Health app, but those Health features have been removed from this seed and will be delivered in a later update. The update expands Siri AI to additional languages, including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Other changes in the build include profiles for the Apple TV app, Call Context support for anniversary alerts, and a new Apple Music icon. The update also supports an alternative expanded prompt for App Tracking Transparency in the European Union.
Release timing and availability
Apple previously said the new Siri AI languages in iOS 27.2 would be available in October, so a public launch is expected before the end of the month. With the release candidate now out to developers, the update could arrive as soon as next week.
