TechNovaTime raises $3.4M to cut healthcare administrative burden

TechNovaTime (Techstars 2025) has raised $3.4M in a pre-seed round to help health systems reduce the administrative work that drains staff time and revenue. The company builds AI-powered process intelligence and digital workforce automation that observes real frontline activity, quantifies the financial impact of automation before deployment, and performs repetitive administrative tasks inside the software health systems already use.

How TechNovaTime’s platform works

TechNovaTime, also referred to as TNT, operates in two connected phases. Under enterprise security and HIPAA compliance protocols, its Capture technology passively observes routine workflows across patient access, operating room management, and revenue cycle operations to create a living operational model called the Enterprise Health Ontology. That model benchmarks unit economics and ranks automation opportunities by verifiable return on investment.

Once a health system approves a business case, TNT deploys Mimic, an AI computer-use agent that works through the same user interfaces staff already use, avoiding complex API re-engineering. Mimic handles routine, repetitive tasks while human supervisory teams remain in control.

Early results and the administrative challenge

TNT’s early deployments have produced measurable results: in one recent health system deployment, the platform handled routine workflow volumes equal to three full-time employees within four weeks. Beacon Health reported rapid deployment and production use; Dr. Stacey Johnston, CHCIO at Beacon Health, said: “The question with any AI investment is how quickly you can prove the value without adding risk to our infrastructure. Within 60 days, TNT went from mapping a complex Beacon workflow directly from our team to running it in production around the clock, working inside the systems our staff already use rather than requiring another heavy integration. That combination of speed, security, and measurable impact is rare, and it’s why we see the potential to apply this model much more broadly across Beacon.”

Administrative costs account for roughly a quarter of total U.S. hospital spending, and pressure is concentrated in revenue cycle and patient access operations. U.S. hospitals spend an estimated $43B a year trying to collect payments from insurers, including nearly $18B spent appealing denied claims. In 2025, final claim denials and uncollected patient balances cost hospital networks more than $48B in net revenue. Hospital leaders also consistently cite workforce vacancies and administrative burden among their biggest operational threats.

Youssef Abubaker, CEO of TNT, explained the company’s approach to that problem: “Software automation projects often stumble because operational knowledge isn’t documented in system manuals or EHR logs; instead, it exists in the heads of experienced staff and their daily workarounds. We built TNT to bridge this gap. By analyzing how work is actually executed on the front lines, we prove the financial return to leadership before anything is deployed, and then deliver digital support directly inside the systems staff already use.”

With the round closed, TNT will invest in engineering for the Enterprise Health Ontology and expand its platform to more health systems.
