Fin.com raises USD 20 million to build stablecoin payment infrastructure

Fin.com has raised USD 20 million in a seed round led by Expa and Garrett Camp to develop stablecoin payment infrastructure that moves digital assets into local bank accounts and digital wallets. The company says the funding will support the expansion of its platform, with an initial focus on underbanked markets in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The round included participation from Coinbase Ventures, Tenet Fund, the founders of Figure, Mesh founder Bam Azizi, and Second Sight Ventures, as well as sovereign and royal family offices based in the Gulf region and Africa. Fin.com has not disclosed the round’s valuation or the ownership split among participants.

Stablecoin bridges to local banking systems

Fin.com’s platform is designed to connect digital asset transfers to domestic banking infrastructure, enabling businesses to convert stablecoins pegged to fiat currencies into local currency held in bank accounts or digital wallets. The company positions these stablecoin rails as a way to facilitate cross-border payments and address the recurring obstacle of converting digital assets into spendable local currency within existing financial systems rather than leaving them confined to crypto-native environments.

Use of funds and strategy

Fin.com plans to use the capital to scale its payment infrastructure and expand operations in markets with comparatively low banking penetration. The company frames stablecoin-based rails as a complement to, not a replacement for, existing financial infrastructure. The investor mix—regional investors from the Gulf and Africa alongside crypto-focused backers such as Coinbase Ventures—combines payments-sector and regional expertise with interest in emerging-market financial inclusion. Camp’s involvement follows his broader history of backing early-stage technology ventures through Expa.

For the wider payments sector, Fin.com’s emergence adds to a growing group of companies building the operational layer that connects blockchain-based settlement with traditional banking rails, a segment that has attracted increasing investor attention amid rising institutional and regulatory interest in stablecoins globally.
