Hang Ten Systems, a Palo Alto startup founded by former Infosys CEO Dr. Vishal Sikka, has closed a $32 million seed round led by Mayfield, with participation from Aramco Ventures and a group of angel investors. Launched just weeks ago, the company says it has already landed multiple seven-figure enterprise contracts and aims to make the traditional IT services industry look like a fax machine.
The startup’s technical pitch centers on what it calls agentic code generation and reusable skills libraries. In practical terms, Hang Ten Systems plans to deploy AI agents that can write, test and ship software with minimal human oversight, while building a library of domain-specific capabilities intended to improve over time.
How Hang Ten Systems’ AI-native approach works
The company describes agentic code generation as a model-driven way to automate software development and delivery, paired with reusable skills libraries that capture domain expertise. According to the company, these elements together enable AI agents to handle tasks across finance, HR and product development functions with reduced manual intervention.
Early customers and enterprise validation
Hang Ten Systems has secured contracts with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius, two major European industrial companies with complex IT needs. The startup says its initial engagements span finance, HR and product development functions and that it has already signed multiple seven-figure enterprise deals.
Co-founder Navin Budhiraja serves as the company’s chief technology officer, and the board includes Jerry Yang, the co-founder of Yahoo.
Vishal Sikka’s background
Vishal Sikka previously served as a senior executive at SAP, where he helped architect the HANA in-memory database platform. He became CEO of Infosys in 2014 as the first non-founder to lead the company; his tenure included an aggressive push toward automation and AI and ended with boardroom conflicts that led to his departure in 2017.
