Leaks and rumors indicate Samsung is preparing a four‑model mainline Galaxy S27 series and could add two more variants later in 2027, bringing the possible total to six devices.
What the mainline Galaxy S27 lineup may include
Leaks suggest the Galaxy S27 family will expand from three to four main models. A new Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to narrow the specification gap between the S27+ and the Ultra, with several rumored similarities to the Ultra and a redesigned, wide camera housing. The Pro is portrayed as a smaller, S Pen‑free version of the Ultra that may carry a slightly downgraded camera compared with the Ultra.
At least three of the mainline S27 models are reportedly planned to use Samsung’s new Exynos 2700 chip, while the Ultra could feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon SoC. Chipset differences and camera revisions are among the suggested ways the Pro and Ultra could be distinguished.
Two additional Galaxy S27 variants could appear later in 2027
Beyond the four mainline phones, leaks point to two further S27 variants that have drawn fewer reports so far. The Galaxy S27 FE would be a lower‑cost “Fan Edition” aimed at combining premium features with greater affordability. The Galaxy S27 Edge is described as a premium, thinly engineered flagship focused on extreme thinness and advanced design, and it may be positioned to compete with the rumored iPhone Air 2.
A possible reason for the relative silence around the FE and Edge is timing: the S27, S27+, Pro and Ultra are expected to be announced in January or February 2027, while the S27 FE and S27 Edge may be planned for release later in 2027.
Keep in mind that none of this is official until Samsung confirms it. While the four mainline S27 models are widely reported and appear likely, the S27 FE and S27 Edge remain uncertain.
